Thinking of You ~ TESC 126

The Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #126
was the inspiration for my card today. I used the darling butterfly image from the Taylored Expressions Garden Party Critters for the sweet trio focal point.

The colors came together easily by using some of the fabulous new patterned paper in my Tayored Expressions August Key Ingredients kit. Instead of using ribbon tied in a bow, I added the blooms across the card front for some added interest...and if you look closely there are some pink Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on the butterfly bodies.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps: Garden Party Critters (Taylored Expressions)
Paper: cardstock & patterned paper (Taylored Expressions August Key Ingredients)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Momento), Copics
Other: Scallop Edge & 1 1/4" Circle Punches (Stampin' Up!), Blooms & Taylor's Tiny Twinkles (Taylored Expressions)

From our Home to Yours ~ 2 Sketches 4 You

Happy Monday, folks! Kazan's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You is up and running! Our sponsor this week is Paper Make-up Stamps...I got to use this cute little Cottage image. After coloring the image with Copics, I cut it by hand and mounted it over some Woodland Park Designer Series Paper. A short strip of DSP was folded accordian-style and adhered under the cottage to mimic a stairway or pathway.

As you can see, sketches can sometimes work great after flipping them, too. I turned the sketch to allow for a wider landscape for this darling Cottage image. Head on over to 2 Sketches 4 You to check out the other designers' samples and play along with us!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week:)

Stamps: Cottage (Paper Make-up), Bella's Bloom
Paper: Woodland Park DSP, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Very Vanilla CS
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Momento), Copics
Other: Rhinestones & Sparklers (Taylored Expressions), Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon

Laura's Birthday Blog Hop

Happy birthday, Miss Laura! We couldn't wait to celebrate with you today!!!

Our FABULOUS sketch designer, Laura Davis, from 2 Sketches 4 You is the guest of honor for our blog hop today:)

I got a little birthday inspiration from Arielle's ColourQ Challenge #47 using Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay, More Mustard, Basic Gray & Whisper White... and Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #88.

The sentiment may be difficult to read...it says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY...call me when it's time for cake!" Love that! This sentiment is part of a darling set called Afterthoughts. I inked up the little flower and stamped it three alternating colors using the trusty Stamp-a-majig. The patterned paper is from the new Pawsitively Prints II, and the old Autumn Meadows DSP.

Stamps: Afterthoughts
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade, More Mustard, Whisper White CS, Pawsitively Prints II & Autumn Meadows DSP
Ink: Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade & More Mustard
