Happy Day at BLD

Who's ready for SUMMER?!  Oh, the HAPPY-est day is the last day of school here at the Schafer house!  This is the last week of school, so I have summer on my mind...sunshine, swimming, fun...

How adorable are these new summer images from By LORi Designs...I used the ever-so-adorable Lollipop, Tube Dude Taylor.  He is available in this cool Summer Bundle over at By LORi Designs!

I used this awesome sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges, #186...perfect to show off Mr. Taylor in his cool shorts, goggles, and inner tube!

I colored up the image with Copic markers, fussy cut him out and layered him up with some Basic Grey paper.

Happy Graduation

It's Monday...The Pink Elephant Monday Challenge Day!  This week, we challenge you to create a graduation project!

I had to miss a former student's graduation party on Sunday, but wanted to make her a special card!  The new Verve Plain Jane, Happy Graduation, image was perfect paired up with the Viva la Verve May Week 3 Sketch!

I die cut a couple of Verve's Scallop Tags and stamped on the top one to make a happy sentiment panel..then propped it up upon a few more layers, added a few enamel dots and some yummy seam binding with button & twine!

Wild Thing

Good morning!  My hubby starts a new job this week and will be traveling a bit as he starts out...so, I made him this card to place in his driver's seat Wednesday as he heads out on his new adventure!  This crazy raccoon and fun sentiment from The Alley Way Stamps Deep in the Woods are perfect to wish my hubby well, I think!

I stamped the raccoon and sentiment over some masculine patterned paper, added a few flags and some stitching!

Fusion #7 - Little Things

It's time for a new Fusion Challenge...use the sketch, use the inspiration photo...or use both like I did!  The neutral colors, simple layout with focal sentiment, and lots of texture make for a fabulous creation...

The cue card over at CASology calls for a BLOOM, so thought I'd add a pretty muslin flower with some twine to my card.  The Simon Says: Flower Power,  Stamp and Show: A Little Paper, Little Red Wagon #185, and Word Art Wednesday #80: Anything Goes challenge is up and running, too!

Hope you'll join us for the Fusion Challenge #7 this week:)

Seize the Birthday with Bugaboo

There's a new sketch up and running over at Seize the Birthday, and we have a fun sponsor this week...Bugaboo Stamps!  How stinkin' cute is that stick figure image...love it with just a little splash of color here and there!

I paired the sketch up with the Celebrations theme over at Ribbon Carousel Challenge #81.

Did you happen to notice what's missing from my card...something I add to almost every card?!  I am a little annoyed with myself for forgetting, but it was too late to add after everything was adhered together!

LOOKIN' GOOD

The Pink Elephant Challenge today is to create a Masculine Birthday card, which I combined with the retrosketches 63, Pile it On #19: For a Teen, and Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: A Little Paper.  The Alley Way Stamps set, Deep in the Woods, was just what I needed for these two challenges!

I stamped the bigfoot image onto a piece of patterned paper and fussy cut him out...and mounted onto a few layers of cool, masculine paper...a little stitching, and a couple of embellishments!  Boom!

Pure Florals: Gerbera Revisited at Uniko Studio

Welcome to the May Revisited Blog Hop at Uniko Studio...this month, we are working with the beautiful Pure Florals: Gerbera stamp set.

What's even more fun than that?!  You get a chance to participate in a CASE challenge of one of the DT member's projects for a chance to win a gift certificate...Uniko Studio stamps are not required to play along!  A random commenter will also win a prize!

If you LOVE this stamp set as much as I do, now is the perfect time to purchase it...it's ON SALE!

Make sure to stop by the other gals' blogs to see what they created with this beautiful set!

Stacey (http://stampinwithstacey.blogspot.com) - you're here!

The challenges that inspired my card today are the Case Study 140 and The Shabby Tea Room 165.

I stamped on of the gerbera line-art images over patterned paper, fussy-cut it out and placed some sequins to the center.  The line-art leaves were inked up in kraft ink and stamped over a patterned paper panel, then a few black rhinestones and cream bow were added.  I don't do many "clean and simple" cards, but this one is close to CAS, I think.
